What’s Happening Today on Pokemon Day 2020

February 27th is National Pokemon Day which marks the release date of Pokemon Red and Green back in 1996 in Japan on the Game Boy. Pokemon Red and Blue were later released in North America in 1998. To celebrate this wondrous occasion, The Pokemon Company has revealed limited time events for Pokemon Sword/Shield, Pokemon Masters, and Pokemon Go! They’ve also released a new Pokemon movie on Netflix and some new Pokemon TCG cards!

The Mythical Pokemon Zarude

Zarude, the Rogue Monkey Pokemon, is a Dark- and Grass-type Pokemon with the Leaf Guard Ability. It has been reported that Zarude lives in a pack deep in the heart of dense forests. It treats anyone that isn’t part of its pack with immediate hostility, attacking right away. Because of this, other Pokemon that live in the same forest are afraid of Zarude. It is not yet known how to acquire Zarude, but you can be sure it’s not through normal gameplay.
